Sweeter Banana is a banana packing shed that operates all year round, the summer months are the busiest and slows down in the winter months. The standard base rate is $17.20 per hour, all staff receive training on the quality aspects and handling of bananas as well as food safety and handling. Staff are rewarded under a pay for performance bonus system that allows you to achieve higher rates of pay by achieving individual performance targets .
Staff that work well and achieve high quality and productivity scores are promoted to the more rewarding roles. If you are a backpacker looking to extend your visa entitlements then Sweeter is the perfect job opportunity as we need our employees to stay a minimum of 3 months.
